Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival
returns to Harrodsburg, Kentucky for the weekend of
Thursday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008
This family-friendly event takes place at Terrapin Hill Farm, a beautiful 375-acre organic family farm located in the heart of the Bluegrass Region. Other Activities throughout the weekend include hayride tours of the farm, bonfires, fire-spinning, drum circles, yoga, food and crafts vendors, glassblowing demonstrations, drum and hula hoop workshops, booths distributing information on environmental awareness and social activism, and activities planned just for kids. About Terrapin Hill Farm...
The primary business of Terrapin Hill Farm is raising organic food and educating school children and adults about where food really comes from and the benefits of eating organic, locally-raised food. In addition to promoting healthy food, Terrapin Hill Farm has been promoting live music for almost 20 years. What started out as small gatherings of guitar-pickers around the campfire has evolved into one of the nation’s premier music festivals. In 2005, Terrapin Hill Farm was awarded an Agri-tourism Competitive Award from the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund, to help make improvements to its venue and develop the agritourism aspects of the farm. After taking a year off in 2007, Terrapin Hill Farm and Top of the Nob Productions are happy to bring back the Terrapin Hill Harvest Festival for its 7th year!
